Worldwide semiconductor capital equipment spending will increase 7.8% to US29.7 billion in 2003 and then 20.6% to US35.8 billion in 2004,according to market researcher Gartner.While capita spending by several large semiconuctor companies was slow in the secon quarter,wafer fab equipment bookings improved in second half 2003.
