The effect of the methods of surface treatment of steel blades of gas-pumping units (the electrochemical polishing under conditions of steady-state electrolysis or at elevated voltages (U = 280-300 V), a heat treatment prior to application of chromium or titanium nitride protective coatings) on their pitting resistance is studied.
