Twin-wire arc spray metalizing systems operate by establishing and maintaining an electrical arc between two metalizing wires that are fed through a spray head at a controlled rate.The molten metal created at the electrical arc is then propelled with compressed air and deposited on a prepared substrate.A low-voltage,high-amperage,direct current(DC)power source(normally supplied with the system)is required to maintain the electric arc and an air supply is required,to propel the molten metal to the surface to be metalized.
