Effects of pig manure, nitrogen and phosphorus on fruit yield and quality of acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia swingle) fruits

A fertilizer trial comprising three doses each of pig manure (0,40, 80kg/tree), four doses of nitrogen (0,400,650 and 750g/tree) and three doses of phosphorus (0,500,700g P_2O_5/tree) was conducted at ICAR research Complex for NEH Region, Arunachal Pradesh centre, Basar on acid lime to ascertain the optimal doses of pig manure, nitrogen and phosphorus for increasing yield and quality of fruits. Result indicated that application of pig manure along with nitrogen and phosphorus significantly influenced the yield and quality of fruits. The application of 80kg pigmanure+750g N+500g P_2O_5 per tree produced highest yield (708 fruits/tree). However, maximum juice content, fruit length and diameter were recorded with application of 80kg pigmanure+750gN+700g P_2O_5 /tree. The maximum TSS in fruit juice was observed with the application of higher doses of manure and fertilizers.
