Sun is a potential source of energy and we, in India, are blessed with abundance of solar energy. Scientists and technologists have developed various equipments for harnessing this energy for the benefit of mankind. Ever increasing population has putadditional burden on requirements of traditional energy sources viz wood, coal, gas. The changed life style and increased use of appliances has also increased the demand for energy. As a result, country is facing acute shortage of petroleum products andelectricity. To meet the ever increasing energy needs, we have to find some alternate sources of energy. Solar energy is one such potential source.
