Major rice diseases and their control

摘要

DUE to introduction of high yielding rice varieties, increased fertilizer doses, number of irrigations, the crop is now being infected by various diseases like bacterial blight, sheath blight, sheath rot, false smut, brown leaf spot, kernel smut, foot rot and blast etc. Moderate disease incidence of BB, sheath blight, sheath rot, brown leaf spot and moderate to high disease incidence of false smut and foot rot has been recorded in different districts of the state during 2007.
