Costs of integrated plant protection of greenhouse cultivation of tomato and cucumber.

The aim of presenter paper was to determine the cost of integrated plant protection in cultivation of greenhouse-grown tomato and cucumber. The research was carried out in 2004-2007 in horticultural enterprise on the greenhouse total area of 23-29 hectares. The results revealed that the cost of tomato protections ranged from 5.21 PLN/m2 in 2004 to 3.78 PLN/m2 in 2007 while the cost of early cucumber protection amounted to 2.94 PLN/m2 in 2005 and 3.58 PLN/m2 in 2007. Plant protection in cultivation of greenhouse-grown late cucumber (protected with use only chemical method) cost 1.38 in 2006 to 2.81 PLN/m2 in 2007. The analysis of the structure of plat protection showed the highest percentage share of plant protections products, whereas in the group of plant protection product application the highest level of cost share was evident in case of human work, inspection and remaining cost. The highest economic efficiency of integrated plant protection was revealed in cultivation of greenhouse-grown tomato and early cucumber.
