Pesticide residues in crops (2004)

A monitoring was carried out in crop samples (such as fruits and vegetables) in Poland in 2005, including determination of 93 active ingredients and 5 products of their degradation. In 35.2% of the analysed samples, residues of 38 compounds were detected. The percentage of samples without pesticide residues equalled 64.8% and 30.8% of the samples containing residues lower than the Polish maximum residue levels (MRLs).
