The effects of fertilizer and crop protection levels, and tillage (conventional or no-tillage) on the total kernel protein contents and yields of spring barley and winter rye under a potato-spring barley-winter rye rotation system were studied in Lublin, Poland. The total kernel protein contents of spring barley and winter rye, and the total protein yield of spring barley were higher under intensive fertilizer and plant protection levels than under the basic treatments. The total kernel protein content was higher under no-tillage than under conventional tillage. The treatments had no significant effects on the total protein yield of winter rye..
