Effectiveness of selected herbicides in weed control on the yearly Miscanthus giganteus plantations.

In an experiment conducted in 2006-08 in Poland, 14 herbicide active ingredients were evaluated for their usefulness in M. giganteus plantations. The selectivity and efficacy of a particular herbicide active ingredient depended on the application date and M. giganteus development stage. The best weed control effects were achieved with herbicide application at 7 days after M. giganteus planting.
