Effect of biostimulators on health and yielding of sugar beet.

The experiments were carried out in laboratory and greenhouse conditions (IHAR Bydgoszcz) and in field conditions (IHAR Bydgoszcz, Piwnice - kujawsko-pomorskie district) in 2001-2003. The influence of some biostimulators on seed germination, emergence, plant growth and root yield, sugar content, technological quality of roots and sugar beet health was tested. The selected biostimulators: Agrispon, Betain, Bio-Algeen S 90, SGA and TNZ 303 were used for sugar beet seeds conditioning before pelleting, as a spray. Agrispon, Betain, Bio-Algeen S 90, SGA and TNZ 303 showed no influence on seed germination and germ health. Plant weight in initial period of growth, root and sugar yield were better on plots with biostimulators. The biostimulators had good influence on sugar beet leaf health.
