Learning through market experience reduces prices for various energy technologies. This phenomenon can be captured by experience curves. In this short communication we update and analyze the experience curve trend for one of these technologies: photovoltaic modules for electricity generation. The results reinforce the importance of energy technology policy on contributing towards making new technologies commercially competitive.
