Pesticide residues in wool and the control and eradication of lice are on the minds of researchers. A recent survey shows that almost 30 per cent of sheep flocks remain lice-infested while another 30 per cent or more vary from lousy one year to cleanthe next. Anecdotal evidence over the years suggests that the mechanical performance of shower dips (volume, pressure, spray pattern and distribution) is a major drawback on the ability to sufficiently wet sheep.
