The role of human factors and safety culture in safety management

摘要

The paper describes the evolution of safety management and the part played by human factors in accident causation. It identifies the key elements of effective safety management and suggests that a crucial determinant of good safety performance isthe safety culture of the organization. A plan is outlined for reviewing and improving safety culture with the support of a detailed safety culture promptlist.
