摘要

EMI suppression filters are a critical component in implantable medical devices because they provide effective, reliable, cost effective protection from external electronic interference that can degrade device performance. As such, engineers who design electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters for implantable medical devices should keep several important considerations in mind during the development process, including: the number of lines that need filtering, design requirements for MRI-compatible devices, insertion loss capabilities, battery life, and cost.
