TRIED & TESTED: EFI Vutek 5330

The 5330 is still the highest resolution 5m-wide printer around and now secondhand machines are hitting the market. Emanuel Swolfs, EFI's northern European sales manager, still has a pretty bullish take on the Vutek 5330. "We wanted to make a 5m-wide printer with a higher resolution and even now it's the best quality 5m printer you can get on the market." The higher resolution meant that users could break into a new market - indoor graphics. Launched in 2002, the 5330 entered the market at a time when 5m super-wide printers were only used for outdoor applications. Eight-colour machines, at the time, didn't have the level of resolution required by the indoor market.
