To enable operators of offshore and onshore infrastructure to carry out modifications and essential maintenance on process pipework with minimal disruption to operations, Stork Technical Services is launching the Snap Ring Joint (SRJ), a weld-free mechanical connection requiring no hot work. With the SRJ, greater flexibility is possible, since pipe repair and modification scopes can be planned year round, and without recourse to costly A TEX compliance measures. By eliminating welding there is no need to compress essential work scopes into planned maintenance shutdown periods.
