Nord Stream is a 1,200km subsea twin pipeline bringing natural gas to Europe via the Baltic Sea. Running from Russia to Germany and producing 40% less C02 emissions than the equivalent land-based pipeline,'Nord Stream' is designed to meet 25% of Europe's additional gas demands by 2025. Due to its technical expertise and extensive experience with large-bore, high-pressure, extreme-service valves, the project selected PetrolValves to supply the critical, high-integrity 48" ANSI class 1500# metal seated Top Entry Trunnion Ball and Double Expanding Gate valves - said to be the largest of their type in the world.
