摘要

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) has unique properties such as hardness and rigidity, stability towards UV light and elevated temperatures, and also towards many chemical agents. In addition, due to the presence of nitrile groups, PAN is used as a precursor of hydrophilic and heterocyclic polymers as well as carbon fibers. Copolymers of acrylonitrile (AN), combining some of the properties of PAN with these of the other polymer, are materials of significant commercial importance and have found applications in textile, rubber, plastics, and membrane technologies.
