摘要

The synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts involves the deposition of a metal or metal oxide on the surface of porous support materials to have high dispersion and therefore high reaction activity.Conventional procedures of catalyst preparation usually involve calcination and reduction,which are normally carried out at high temperatures.Unfortunately,the high temperature procedures usually produce catalysts with low surface areas and low metal dispersions resulting in low activities.The continuing intensive research involving more effective routes to catalyst synthesis and minimization of catalyst deactivation documents our needs in this area and its general importance to the petroleum industry and society (1-2).
