Effect of promoters on the hds performance of the supported catalysts prepared using omxc method

A new supported catalyst preparation method has been developed in Oxford University,and an alumina supported CoMoS catalyst was prepared for HDS reaction,which showed superior performance to the currently available commercial catalysts [l]However,no study has been carried out on the promotion of the additives on the catalysts performance.It has been shown that in the other catalyst preparation method the addition of promoters has been one of the main routes to improve the hydrotreating catalyst performance,considerable efforts have been devoted to understand the influence of different parameters on the origin of the synergy effect [2].
