Chemical dispersants enhance the dispersion of oil slicks at sea as small oil droplets in the water column and hence are widely usedin oil spill response operations.To assessthe impacts of dispersant usage on oil spills,US EPA is developing a simulation model called the EPA Research Object-Oriented Oil Spill(ERO~3S) model.
