After the energy crises of the 1970's the petroleum industries began to use in an increasing manner the heavy ends of crude oil However processing these fractions is difficult due to their complexity one of these incoveniences is the poesence of the neutral N-containing compounds (1) Nitrogen compounds arew well known as poisons of acidic and metallic refinery catalysts and cause trouble in jpetroleum hydrogtreatments (2) where they are in part responsible for deposit and gum formations.(3-6)
