TOM Mueller guesses he's like a lot of farmers this year: taking his crop out of the field and putting more into storage than normal.That's the result the hurricane season has wrought on farmers — even those as far from the Gulf Coast as Mueller, who farms just south of the Quad Cities near Taylor Ridge. "There were days when the market would go up, but the basis was just widening so fast that we were losing ground pretty fast," Mueller recalls.
