STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF HIGH ALLOY H9AMFNB (P91) STEEL SMOOTH ELBOWS FOR HIGH-PRESSURE STEAM LINES

The elbows were manufactured by Energomontaz - Pln. - Sochaczew for installation in 15 MPa, 560 deg C steam lines. Mechanical tests and examinations of the structure have shown that a demonstration lot of #phi# 168.3 X 16, #phi# 219.l X 23, #phi# 414 X 28, and #phi# 429 X 36 mm elbows conforms to world standard specifications. Hardness, static tensile and impact tests have confirmed that properties of the elbows are homogeneous. The results have led to the decision to implement the technology of manufacture and heat treatment of H9AMFNb (P91) steel elbows in Energomontaz - Pin. - Sochaczew.
