摘要

The U.S. Department of Labor (USDL) tracks the nation's most dangerous jobs based on the number of people who die at work. On Sept. 11, 2014, the USDL's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its national census of fatal occupational injuries that occurred in 2013. You might be surprised to learn that firefighters, police and security guards didn't make the top 10 list. You might be more surprised to learn that fishing is the most dangerous job in the United States. If you've ever watched Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch, portraying the lives of Alaskan crab fisherman, however, you probably understand why.
