Villargiroud, Switzerland - With the large powder feeding station type PST, equipped with the patented large jet feed injector nearly all dry powders - also hardly wettable ones - can be dispersed, absolutely with no agglomerates. Due to the vacuum created in the injector, the powders are sucked onto the liquid jet which is subsequently integrating the lowest layer of the powder column, particle by particle and is mixed with the adequate volume of liquid (single particle moistening). As there are no rotating parts in the product feeding zone, there will occur neither mechanical shear forces nor local overheats. The structure of shear sensitive and thermo sensitive products will not be negatively affected or destroyed. The result is a reproducible and high product quality with a constant end viscosity. The absence of agglomerates is saving time and high power consumption mixing processes; also the production times can be shortened considerably.
