But such tests can't tell you how well a mixer's mechanical design and construction are suited to your application. This article explains how considering mechanical features such as the mixer's drive arrangement, seals, and construction materials can help you select a mixer that will consistently and reliably achieve your process goals. While the information here concentrates on agitating mixers with stationary vessels, many details also apply to mixers with rotating vessels.
