摘要

The circulating fluidized bed has been applied for over twenty years in a variety of processes, mainly involving gas/solid reactions such as combustion and calcination. In this paper, a design strategy for gas/solid reactors is developed and will be used in three examples i.e.limestone calcination, coal combustion and sludge combustion. Fundamental design parameters have been experimentally determined or were taken from literature. Comparison of predicted geometries and operating conditions with industrial data illustrate the validity of the design strategy and used parameters.
