EXICO CITY-Mexico's Environment Ministry Sept.9 announced the country had ceased manufacturing chlorofluorocarbons(CFCs)nearly four years earlier than required under the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer.Environment Minister Jose Luege told a ceremony at the Quimobasicos plant that the closure of the plant's CFC production line reduced Latin America CFC production capacity by 60 percent and world capacity by 12 percent.
