Thieme has been chosen to produce the cockpit for Germany's latest ICE 3 high speed train. The company is supplying 27 different moulded parts made from Bayer's Baydur 60 and 110 polyurethane. An important factor was the ability to modify the material before production to meet German Rail's strict fire protection standards.
