Levi Jeans to use recycled PET bottles waste in the U.S.A.

The year 1873 saw the birth of the Blue Jeans, of course, it was then different than what we see today. They were generally made of brown cotton duck and true blue denim. From selling millions of jeans, now in its 140th year of evolution, Levi's have taken it to the next level of sustainablility. Levi's have come up with a new pair of jeans this Spring Summer that uses PET plastics including the waste-brown beer bottles, green soda and beverages bottles, food trays - generally thermoformed of PET sheets into making the jeans. The Spring 2013 Levi's Waste Less collection will utilize over 3.5 million recycled bottles
