The routine use of Chemicals in livestock production is again under scrutiny, following the controversial decision by EU ministers to phase out the use of more dietary antibiotics in poultry production. New Zootechnical Feed Additives regulations bring yet more pressure, not just on the remaining antibiotic growth promoters, but also on the anticoccidial drugs routinely used in chicken feed.
