Commercial broilers are increasingly being subjected to environmental temperatures that are above their comfort zone. Not only are birds growing faster than ever before, and are therefore generating more heat than previously at any given age, but broiler production is increasingly being introduced as a farming system in environments that are unsuitable for such production.
