Asahi Kasei launches recycled spandex in Japan

Asahi Kasei Corp. announced that its has developed the world's first recycled elastic polyurethane filament (spandex) Roica EF for applications such as innerwear, leg-wear, sportswear, and diapers. According to the company, spandex was previously considered unsuitable for recycling because of the difficulty in controlling the decomposition temperature.
