Private equity firm Wellspring Capital acquires Ampac Holdings with plans to merge it with Prolamina

Wellspring Capital Management LLC, the private equity owner of Westfield, Massachusetts-based Prolamina Corporation, is acquiring Ampac Holdings LLC for an undisclosed sum. Ampac is to be merged with Prolamina to form a new flexible packaging group. Initially referred to as Prolampac Intermediate Corporation, a definitive trading name for the new company has yet to be revealed. Greg Tucker, Chief Executive Officer of Prolamina, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer for the merged company.
