Sao Paulo-based JBS SA, a leading global beef producer, has acquired local pasta maker Massa Leve Ltda for US$110 million. The deal, which will be in cash and shares, once approved by Brazil's competition watchdog, will enable the meat producer to integrate the business with its non-meat arm.
