Some BOPP film price increases in India during Q2, 2014

Prices paid for 18 micron co-extruded BOPP film in India (the most common thickness used for packaging in India) have increased by almost 1.5% in Indian Rupee terms during Q2, 2014 to 145 – 147 Rupees / kg. The fall in the value of the US Dollar against the Rupee from around 62 Rupees to 58 Rupees between February and May means that in US Dollar terms prices were up by around 12% to US$2.50 – US$2.55 / kg in Q2.
