Preserving performance- Reactive polymer-bound chemicals offer unique advantages to polyol manufacturers and PU producers

Preserving the long-term quality of polyurethane articles is an on-going challenge for PU producers and polyol manufacturers, and an area with definite room for improvement. More focus than ever is being placed on achieving a step-up in areas such as emission profiles and UV stability. It is also important to remember that visual appearance, particularly for the end-user, is a significant factor in the perceived value of a product and its ability to perform. Support is needed to help the industry go beyond existing solutions and tackle discolouration and degradation head-on. This paper highlights how new developments in polymer-bound chemistry are being translated into easy-to-handle, highly-effective stabilisers and colourants that offer a fresh approach to this challenge.
