Slight fall in BOPP film prices in Brazil during Q2, 2016

PCI’s price index for 20 micron BOPP film in Brazil has come down slightly during Q2, 2016 to US$2.45 - US$3.00 / kg with actual prices being US$2.10 - US$2.45 / kg. The Brazilian market has been depressed, partly from uncertainty caused by the impeachment of the country’s president. The country’s currency, however, has recovered some value against the US Dollar since the start of the year when it was clear that President Dilma Rousseff was going to be impeached.
