摘要

The aim of the present study was to determine changes in the water-air relationship and some physical properties of grey-brown podsolic soils fertilized for many years with cattle slurry, manure and mineral fertilizers. Natural fertilizers, especiallymanure, had a positive effect on the water-air relationship and watei retention properties of the soil. Total and capillary porosity increased. The volume of water accessible to plants and easily available water increased. A negative effect of high slurry rates manifested itself by deterioration of soil water retention properties, compared with the treatment fertilized with lower rates of slurry. Mineral fertilization (NPK) had no significant influence on the physical properties of grey-brown podsolicsoils.
