The 'Bayseal' technology

BaySystems~(TM), the umbrella brand for the global polyurethane systems operations of Bayer MaterialScience, has won Energy Star partnership for its Bayseal~(TM) CC and PP grades of energy-efficient spray polyurethane foam insulation. Bayseal~(TM) foam is sprayed onto both the inside and perimeter walls of a home in lieu of traditional fiberglass insulation to create a more efficient thermal envelope. The foam quickly expands, filling open spaces to provide a continuous, protective air barrier that virtually eliminates air leakage, the leading cause of building energy waste. Bayseal~(TM) foam cures within seconds, forming the foundation of a structurally strong, virtually airtight, thermal, sound and condensation barrier.
