German company NAN04U has extended the development of its technology to create holograms on injection moulded parts for the prevention of counterfeiting. The technology has been used to create holograms via a nanostructure on the surface of injection mould inserts (European Plastics News, September 2013). But with a view to making the process as easy as possible to retro-fit into existing moulds, NAN04U decided to test the idea of hologram ejector pins.
