PIE: Your first tanker is currently on its way to deliver US ethane to Rafnes. When will the vol-. umes using shale gas be made available? Tom Crotty (Photo: ineos) Crotty: The "Intrepid" is going to arrive in Rafnes on 23 March at the latest [Editor's note: The ship arrived on the morning of 23 March]. As soon as it is unloaded, volumes will be available pretty much straight away. Rafnes is a gas cracker anyway. It currently runs on about 50% Norwegian ethane and 50% imported LPG. Once we are done with unloading the ship, we'll start flowing that shale gas straight into the system.
