New French unit operational/ German capacity expansion

In early October, UK packaging specialist Rexam (London; www.rexam.com) celebrated the expansion of its production site in southeastern France at La Verpilliere. The new production and packaging unit allows for the continuation of its cooperation with Lilly Laboratories. Since 2008, Rexam Healthcare has been the European supplier of the sub-sets used for the manufacture of insulin injection pens from US pharmaceutical specialist Eli Lilly. The production site in La Verpilliere, with 300 employees, covers an area of more than 17,000 m~2 for production, including 11,300 m2 of clean rooms.
