Except for ABS and PP compounds, which are almost- standard thermoplastics, most of the "classical" engineering poly-mers sold in western Europe remained stuck at June price* levels in July, despite extensive capacity cuts. Demand, although improved, was still too weak for producers to pass through their higher petrochemical feedstock costs.
