A radical"everything must go"clearance sale presented most western European buyers of standard thermoplastics with unbelievably low prices at the end of 2008.Following the historic highs of summer,September saw the beginning of an equally historic price slump that continued in free fall in December.As the old year ended,producers were alarmed and,determined to put an end to the fun,issued their first calls for price increases early in the new year.This could be a first indication that the decline is beginning to bottom out.
