LED Backlighting P.O.P. Displays

Lasers are a commonly used manufacturing tool for creating point- of-purchase displays used in airports, hotels and other commercial buildings. Historically, the extent of this application is to laser cut acrylic to shape leaving an aesthetically pleasing fire polished cut edge. However, advances in the lighting industry have allowed LED lights to be utilized in P.O.P. displays. High efficiency LED light strips are snapped to the edge of acrylic panels and effectively diffuse light across a dot or line pattern laser etched into the acrylic sheet. Translucent acrylic can be placed on the front side of the LED lit panel creating a brightly lit panel with consistent glow.
