As previously reported, Delphi Automotive Systems has been developing a plastic gas tank holding fuel sender and other attachments inside its hydrocarbon-barrier HDPE/EVOH/HDPE exterior. (This contrasts with 'ship-in-a-bottle' blow-molded designs being developed elsewhere.)
