New amine-cured MDI prepolymers are said to be the first to allow casting MDI-based polyurethane-urea elastomers with superior mechanical properties.The Baytec MAC line from Bayer MaterialScience,Pittsburgh,are novel polyester and polyether prepolymers made with a specialty MDI.They are available for sampling and will be commercial by the year's end.
